Everett Infrared has a substantial reservoir of expertise in all aspects of electro-optic technology. Each member of our staff has at least twenty years of experience designing and building state-of-the-art sensors. In addition to infrared, we have designed visible, ultraviolet and x-ray sensors and have substantial capability over the entire optical portion of the electro-magnetic spectrum.
Our expertise includes:
 | Detector physics - analysis of the many types of detectors, how they work and what detector is appropriate for a specific application | ||||
| Optical design - lenses, mirrors, spectral filters, shields and windows needed to direct the appropriate radiation to the detector and eliminate unwanted radiation | ||||
| Focal plane array (FPA) hybridization - techniques to attach detector arrays to multiplexers or readout integrated circuits including indium bump bonding and other approaches | ||||
| Electronics design - analog and digital circuits to extract the signal from the detector and apply the appropriate offsets and calibration factors | ||||
| Component sourcing - identifying reliable and cost effective suppliers | ||||
| System analysis - calculation of the performance of each element and then of the integrated system including signal, noise and temporal response | ||||
| Test and characterization - measurement of actual sensor performance | ||||

Our staff is available on a consulting basis to provide whatever support our customers need. We can:
| Support the internal staff whenever there is a crunch - too much to do and too little time to do it |
| Provide our specialized knowledge to the internal staff so that they can work through their problems without having to spend an inordinate amount of time learning what we can tell them right away |
| Work on a portion of a project that the internal staff does not have the background or time to do themselves |
| Provide formal or informal training in electro-optic technology |
| Set up facilities for the design, fabrication and test of electro-optic components and sensors |
